More than a quarter of Fortune 500 companies operate a gulfstream aircraft, one of the most technologically advanced business jet aircraft. These planes are produced by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and is the “The World Standard” in business aviation. They have produced for corporate, government, private and military customers all over the world.
Developments in the Gulfstream Aircraft
The Gulfstream 4 was introduced in 1985 and approximately 99 percent still remain in service today. They introduced the Gulfstream 4-SP in 1993. This is the world’s best-selling large cabin business aircraft. The G4/G4-SP fleet has an impressive record for technical performance, safety, reliability, and comfort.
In 1997, Gulfstream introduced the Gulfstream V. By doing so they introduced a whole new era in business aviation history because it was the world’s first ultra-long range business aircraft. This gulfstream jet is able to travel non-stop for 6,500 nautical miles and created a higher standard for business travel.
Gulfstream announced their next generation of gulfstream aircraft in October 2000, the G5-SP. These jets offer the largest cabin area in their class, additional baggage volume, and greater weight capacity. The attention Gulfstream places on making their product top in it’s class is key in their success. It’s not a surprise that their aircraft is used so abundantly in ultra-long range business travel.
